I am hearing people say that they don’t know where to start. They often ask, “where is One?”
Today, I am on A Mission…
Today, I am also staring at this blank page wondering how to find “One.”
I am an online content and copywriter, so I know that the best way to find “One” is to start typing.
Even if you have a blank page and your words transport you from mega dreams to frustration concerning the convoluted impossibility of it all–you will have still found some clues to, “One.”
In keeping with this train of thought, my typing of words has led me to the realization that I, at least, know the results I want.
When a Little Bit Seems to go a Long Way…
They (the results I want) race across my mind as I contemplate what it will be like to have unlimited access to the very people who are asking real questions about problems that I know how to solve.
There will be no more shooting in the dark, hoping that the right people will find the information I posted based on best SEO practices.
I Want to Earn a Living Doing This…
I want that great feeling that comes with actually having shown someone how to get past the brick-wall they have been fighting, and I want them to pay me for helping them move ahead.
I want people that I help to pay me because each hurdle cleared in internet marketing is one step closer to earning a living in this fantastic business.
So, I want people to reward me with payment and be willing to come back for more.
Here Comes “Two”
The second I realized that I knew “One,” “Two” popped up.
Now, how do I find “Two?”
I do the same thing I did when I was searching for “One.” I start typing out words that convey ideas for how I can accomplish getting up each morning and doing “One.”
I find myself rearranging those words into steps, and as I work along–a plan begins to emerge right in front of my eyes.
I can see where I am going with this, and I feel excited. I have spent the day sticking to my search–and I believe that I have not only found “One,” but I have also found “Two.”
Is “Three” Knowing When to Quit?
I called it a day after this small success, and I bathed in it all evening, relishing my self-control and ultimate discovery of things heretofore hidden deep inside me.
The Next Morning
I still want to indulge in that feeling of accomplishment. I’ll get to “Three” this afternoon.
… something about this decision is bothering me, and I remember Sean saying that if I want different results this year–I must make changes.
I see the wisdom in that, but how can I work non-stop. Where is a logical stopping place each day?
It occurs to me that “Three” is identified through goals. So then, “does this mean I have to call my goals “One,” I ask myself? Because if that’s the case–then I have not found “One” as I thought, and if that’s the case, the same must be true for “Two” and “Three.”
The Maze of the Mind
The parable of this story is that there is no concrete “One.” There is no concrete “Two” or “Three,” either.
What has to CHANGE to achieve my goals in 2019 is trust and faith. Blocking confusion and every, evil work messing with my mind is easy to do.
Just come against the enemy as Jesus did. James 3
What has to CHANGE to achieve my goals in 2019 is to work a list each day and stick to it.
Some days the drudgery of website work may be first. Other days, writing the next part of my coaching program may be first on the list. However, every day must include posting on AnyoneCanCoach.com
Only Today is Your’s
God has only given us one day at a time, and He has told us in 1 Corinthians 1 that He has given us heart-peace and grace (unmerited favor and spiritual blessing) in Jesus Christ, so that–in every respect, He has enriched us with ALL POWER and READINESS of SPEECH.
In other words, step out in faith, working the prepared list in faith, believing that He is instructing us and teaching us in the way we should go–and He is guiding each of us with His eye. Psalm 32:8
Trust What God Has Put into You
Lastly, it is not productive to go looking at what other people are doing, in order to create your content.
We each have deep wells of every kind of wisdom and understanding, practical insight and prudence poured into us through the Father’s gracious generosity. Ephesians 1.
Let it come out as you type words, and watch them emerge into completely unique content.
There is, after all, only one “You!”

What if getting where you want to go isn’t about working MORE but instead working in your unique gifting in such a way that you add value most efficiently?
I suspect that you are very very talented . . but for some reason you are stuck doing what others have told you you have to do . . .
I wonder what you could do – how you could change your target market for your writing . . and start getting paid exponentially more

What you ask is my dream. However, I’m clueless. Tell me more. Seriously.

What one thing is your go to?
For instance, if I’m struggling to get into my routine, I have one thing I can pull up and immerse myself into that will inspire me to push through the brick wall.
My go to is “help someone overcome a problem.” There’s always someone with a problem, and I can overcome anything. I always have a list of solutions that almost come out of the woodwork. I can find a solution.
They may not want the solutions that are in front of them, or in front of me. But I can offer solutions.
That’s my go to. Find a solution, help someone.
Then, I can retract and do what is necessary for me to accomplish my goal – make a difference today.
ShariLee, I also do a lot of copywriting and online content. I love the variety, but to be profitable and successful, I had to find a way to do what I love and focus on one SOLUTION. I’d love to talk to you.

I’m still writing for content mills, but I don’t have any problems getting started or meeting deadlines when I’m doing things for others.
It’s when I’m doing things for myself or my own profit that I have always struggled.
Lately, the Lord has been really giving me concrete help with that, and it is the ONLY reason I am in this program. Otherwise, I would not have even tried.
P.Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and i’ll give you my phone number.

If I may, I’d like tell you a short story and then offer a suggestion or two.
The story: I’ve been in various of Sean’s coaching programs for several years. I’ve also been a student of “time management” tools for decades. (Sean says we cant’t manage our time, only our actions. He’s right, of course.)
Anyway, I’ve tried a bunch of systems; DayTimer, FranklinCovey, and GTD. In 2015 or 2016 Sean told us on a coaching call about a book titled “The One Thing” by Gary Keller (one of the founders of the Keller-Williams real estate company) and Jay Papasan.
I bought the Kindle version of the book and read it. It changed my life, just not immediately. I’ve since re-read it twice. It’s probably time to read it again.
Last April I joined their Living Your One Thing membership (currently the only other coaching program besides Sean’s that I belong to).
That’s when I really began to apply the principles. I won’t go into much depth here because there’s way too much to get into. But I’ll say this. You probably saw in my introduction thread what Sean said about my membership site. That’s all due to his recommending the book a few years ago and me finally taking it seriously.
Now the suggestions: First, if you haven’t read the book, I highly recommend it. Second, you can find out more about them at the1thing.com (that’s not an affiliate link).
Third, you mentioned finding your “one.” I do that every morning. By that I mean each morning I ask myself the focusing question, “What’s the ONE Thing I *can* do such that by doing it, everything else becomes easier or unnecessary?”
And then I time block on my calendar the time to get that one thing done and I go to work to get it done, acting in order of priority.
Am I perfect at it? Of course not. Sometimes I don’t pick the right “one thing.” Sometimes I don’t get it done. But I’d say my success rate is about 80 – 90%.
Will it work for you? Dunno. Different strokes and all of that. But it certainly can’t hurt to check it out.

Just a short note by way of explanation regarding my original post “Where is One?”
I wrote this as a little allegory meant to help others see that you can easily find ONE by just sitting down to type whatever is coming out of you at the time. It was meant to take the pressure off people who are always trying to find out where to start each day.
I follow my own advice, and I call this my data-dump! I write a lot of financial and insurance stuff and in my quest to do it creatively, sometimes I have to let my head empty out on the computer in order to get some creative juices flowing.
It was sort of meant to be helpful to others–not a plea for help myself. I guess I was unclear, at the time, what we were supposed to be doing on this forum.
Now that I understand the routine concerning helpful posting, I will save my allegories for my data-dumps. 😉
I hope this makes sense. I’m so happy and blessed to be here and to be getting to know all of you. I have never met so many generous people in one place in my life.
With all of my heart, I thank you each one…

so it sounds like you have an amazing skill set, which you’ve used to help others, but not to build your own business.
It also sounds like you are finally ready to cut through all the clutter and finally build your own real business that changes lives and helps people, and is of course your own business so you are getting paid instead of your bosses, right?
If so, the question is, have you made a solid decision to do this, and to forge ahead no matter how hard it is or how many challenges there are, or are you still working on making a decision to improve your life by changing others’ lives?

When you wrote this question, I could not make myself answer because I was a little scared.
Then, honestly, I forgot about it. I was pursuing some of the older posts tonight, and I found this. So now, I feel comfortable answering your question.
The answer is undeniable, “YES!”
I have packed my mental bags, I have gotten my train ticket, I have boarded the train, I am working out my coaching business program during the trip, and I am not looking back! Oh, and I can see my destination more clearly all the time. 😉
