Dear Fellow Believer,

And let’s be real: if you get stuck on some funnel issue, or what to put on your front page, or which membership do you launch – is the FIRST thing you do, go to God and ask Him?

And I don’t blame you.

I don’t go straight to God everytime, either, naturally!

God’s been working on me though 🙂

I share that to say . . .it’s not easy.

I’ve fallen into the pattern – the trap – of going to worldly counselors and coaches to get business advice . . . thinking that if I implement top-of-the-line modern business principles my business will grow the way the ads promise.

But what I’ve found is that when my business itself is not being led by God . . . I just don’t get the same results.

In fact, over the weekend, I was talking with God about this, really contemplating and discussing this idea that fellow Believers are seeking out business advice from business people – but not from God!

Not maliciously, not intentionally – but simply because no matter how rooted we are in Christ, when we “go to work” it’s like we enter another world – we expect God to guide and direct us . . .but it’s second nature to go online, and use google or find an “expert” to help us.

but let’s face it . . . you’ve been going to experts online for several years now, learning what to do and how to do it . . .but you are still stuck.

It’s like you know what to do, you feel like you ARE doing what you know and what is “supposed” to work . . .

but it’s not working.

And I began to question, is it possible that, just like in every other part of our lives, God simply wants to guide us?

That as believers, we have a responsibility to go to Him for even business guidance and consulting!

This struck me very hard, and in fact earlier Saturday morning I heard God instruct me to write this letter and launch training to guide fellow believers in following Him in their businesses.

I felt an incredible sense of realization that God has the ability to guide and bless believing entrepreneurs . . but we have to go to Him for that direction.

You see, as a fellow Christian, it’s easy to have things in line with God in the rest of our lives . . .and still show up in our business each day, and take things into our own hands.

I know.

I’ve done it.

Hey, I might even pray that God will guide me during the day, that I’ll make good decisions, and so on . . . but when it comes to getting business advice, I’ve gotten it from training, business websites, and so on . . . instead of just getting God’s direction in the actual business space.

Here’s my question for you . . .

Are you struggling in your business, to grow your business, or to get the ideas you need to start something new?

Deep inside, do you feel called to do a certain something, but when you get down to it, you do research, it’s like it just won’t work?

If so, I get it . . .

I’m a Christ follower, and I wholeheartedly trust Him with everything in my life.

But I’ve found in the past that when I go to work . . it’s like I trust Him, I ask for His guidance . .

but in the actual day-to-day it’s just SO EASY to not consult Him.

It’s so easy to go to an expert instead of going to Him.

I get it.

But what I’ve discovered is that God really wants to manage every part of our lives . . not just our personal life, not just our marriage . . but our business too.

When He is Lord of our lives, He should be Lord of EVERYTHING – including our business.

Consider this: “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you.”

And no matter how good you’ve gotten at doing that in the rest of your life . . .if you are like most of us Christian businesspeople . . . we may believe we are building our business for Him first, but let’s face it, where do we go when we need advice on building traffic online, or building a presence online, or advertising online, or building a funnel online . . .

We search immediately for an expert to teach us what to do.

But just as if we are having marriage problems – and Christ should be the FIRST person we go to

Or if we are having emotional problems – Christ should be the FIRST person we go to

In our business, Christ should be the FIRST person we go to.

And the fact of the matter is this: when we go to Him daily with our business needs – in just the same way that if we go to Him daily with our personal needs, He meets them . . .

He will meet our business needs!

He will guide us in the decisions we make.

The steps we take.

And He will give us the same wisdom He promises to liberally give us if we ask Him (James 1)

Consider this:

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and He will add these things to you . . .

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and He will give you the desires of your heart . . .

You see, those promises aren’t JUST for our personal life, our personal finances.

They also apply to your businesses!

yes, your entrepreneurial business can be blessed by God – and guided by God – just the same as the rest of your life!

Now, I know that there’s not much training out there for what to do and how to do it IN YOUR BUSINESS to reach out to God right inside your business.
